We're Now Stocked at Next
We've got news, and we've been sitting on it for a little while just so we could tell you properly: Gigil is now stocked online at Next.co.uk.
If that doesn't sound like a big deal from the outside, let us explain why it means so much from the inside.
Where we've come from
Since day one, Gigil has lived in two places: our own website, and the baby shows up and down the country where we've stood behind a stall, chatted to bump-to-be parents and brand-new grandparents, and watched people pick up a Nappy Caddy for the first time and turn it over in their hands. That's it. No wholesale, no other stockists, no shortcuts. Just us, our site, and a lot of long weekends in exhibition halls.
There's something we've loved about that. It's meant every single customer who found us did so because they went looking - because a friend recommended us, because they spotted us at a show, because they searched for something better than what was already on the market. We've never taken that for granted.
Why this changes things
Being picked up by Next is the first time Gigil products will sit somewhere other than our own shelf. It's a genuine milestone - the kind we've been working towards without ever being sure it would happen, or when. It means more parents will be able to find us in the place they already shop, without needing to have heard of us first. And it means the years of getting the details right - the fabrics, the fastenings, the little things that make a Nappy Caddy or a Changing Backpack actually work for real life with a baby - are being recognised somewhere much bigger than a market stall.
It doesn't change who we are or how we make things. Every product on Next will be exactly the Gigil you already know: built to be genuinely useful, not just nice to look at.
