I recently ended up in hospital with my wee one. I had a straw tumbler of Ribena in the insulation pouch inside the bag which was never a problem because I always kept the bag upright. In our move from A&E to the ward, the nurse carried my back for me & unbeknownst to me, put it down & it fell over. Only after my focus shifted once my wee one was checked over did I go to the bag to get something and find that Ribena had spilt over everything! An of course Ribena being purple, showed up all over the lining. I removed everything (& there was a lot because the bag has such a large capacity!) and did my best to wipe it up with water wipes but I was so gutted about my bag. It was all soaked up in the lining because even though I thought I’d got it dry, everywhere I moved it, there was a puddle of purple moisture pooling out 🫣 I was convinced I’d need to buy another one, including the nappy pouch (which remarkably had kept the nappies dry!!) but when I got home, I soaked the nappy pouch in a bowl of Napisan to see how it reacted and it became perfectly clean and easy to dry! My mum kept saying she’d buy me a new one because her granddaughter was worth it but I wanted to try to save it. So, rather than soaking the bag, I dabbed it & brushed the lining lightly with a toothbrush with the Napisan water, turning the bag inside out etc and then left it in front of the radiator for a few days, regularly turning it & properly drying it out. I was absolutely amazed at how new it looks and feels after being through all of that! Only good quality materials could do that. I am so grateful to have invested in such a good changing bag - thank you 🙏🏻
